NEXT STEPS:

This decision you’re about to make will answer the question of eternity. It will be the most important decision you’ll ever make in your entire life. More important than who you’ll marry. More important than how much money you’ll make. More important than what you will have for dinner tonight! God doesn’t want anyone to suffer let alone choose hell and be punished. This is why Jesus is so important. John 3:16 says for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life… God right now is giving you the greatest opportunity to choose Eternal Life. 

You see Hell isn’t a joke. Rock stars joke about it. That it’ll be like a party where all your friends will be. But it won’t. That’s a lie. The reality is very different. It’s a place where there will be no laughter. There will be no joy. There will be no peace. There will be no seeing family and friends. There will be no reunion. Only punishment and pain where there will be no end. You might be watching this saying
“Youre fear-mongering, You want to scare me into heaven” Not at all. At the end of your life you will be in one place or the other. Atheists say you just cease to exist. People who have had near death experiences say that is entirely incorrect. There is life after death. You will either be in heaven or in hell. BUT I have good news for you. Loads of people think all they have to do to go to heaven is to be a “good person”. They think it’s about doing good, feeding the poor, giving to the needy. No. You see the Bible says in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. AND ARE JUSTIFIED BY HIS GRACE as a GIFT, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

You see Jesus walked the earth over 2000 years ago. Lived a perfect sinless life, was born under the law to fulfill what we couldn’t. You see God is perfect, you’re not. You’re a sinner and there is no place in heaven for sinners. You have broken all of God’s laws. James 2:10 says whoever breaks even one law is guilty of breaking them all! I promise you today alone you broke more than one. So how do we make sure that we’re going to heaven?

Here’s the good news. Jesus died for sinners. Like you and me. We’ve all sinned against God, we’ve all gone our own way. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says God made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Jesus came and gave himself to us. God made flesh and took the punishment of sin upon himself. Paid the debt that we owed and couldn’t pay. Became the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Was crucified, died and was buried. Rose again on the third day! He fulfilled all prophecy, fulfilled all of the law! The Bible clearly tells us if we put our faith in the finished work of Jesus, we are free from the penalty of sin. We are free from the wrath of God. Who the son sets free is free indeed. If we put our faith In Jesus, that he lived a sinless life for sinners like you died for our sins and rose again and is seated at the right hand of God in heaven. We can have eternal life!

We can be with him in heaven. We can dwell with him in the kingdom of God. Heaven is eternal. There will be no more sadness. No more pain. No more tears. No more fear. No more anxiety. No more death. It will be as it was in the garden of Eden. Free from the issues of life that plague us. You see God wants to offer that to us right now. He wants you to choose life. You see, you can choose to go your own way. However, that way leads to destruction. Jesus says broad is that way. It leads to hell. But narrow is the way to eternal life. He said He is that way! He is that life. He said to repent from the path you are already on. To turn away, change your mind about God. To change your mind about your destination. I’m going to read some scripture… Then afterwards we’re going to pray. 

Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God

John 6:29 The work of God is to believe in the one He has sent.
Jesus wants you to believe He came so that you can know that you can have eternal life! It’s as simple as believing in Him… Believing you can be saved and repentance is simple – changing your life happens along the way.

Romans 10:9-13 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Im excited because eternal life is the best gift you will ever receive. You will never be the same after. A lot of people wonder is it that simple? Is is it just simply believing. Can I really be sure?! YES! The book of John ends this way… John 20:31 “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God and that by believing you may have life in His name.” 

Jesus I believe that you are the One true God. I believe that you came and lived a sinless life . That you were crucified, died on the cross for my sins, I believe that my sins are forgiven because of what you’ve done for me. I believe that you rose again on the third day and that by believing in you I can now have life. Jesus I ask that you give me new life. I let go of the old, I let go of my old ways. I no longer want to live for myself. I want to live for you, I want to be born again. I receive the free gift of eternal life right this moment. I receive your love. Write my name in the lambs book of life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. I thank you for freeing me from the bondage of sin i was in. I thank you for this new life. I thank you for making me new… in Jesus name.

If you just prayed this prayer. Jesus is not only with you. He is within you right this moment! You’re a new creation as 2 Corinthians 5 says! Your shame, your guilt, your fears, your sin. GONE! Now eventually you’re going to say well… What now? What next… The old you… that person is dead. What do you do with dead things? You bury them, you put them away. The things from your old life… You bury them. Maybe it was new age paraphernalia, ouija boards, vulgar music, dream catchers, apps on your phone that were causing you to sin, pornography, smoking weed etc. Anything its time to throw those things out! You’re a new person now! Don’t worry the Holy Spirit will bring things to your remembrance, open your eyes to what you need to throw away. You’re on the true path, the narrow road, and you know what? You’re not walking alone. He’s with you. 2ND if you don’t have a bible. Get you a bible! And download the Bible app on your phone! But get your hands on a physical bible. Walmart, Target, book store or order one on amazon.

3rd. Go to a bible believing church. One that teaches and believes what is written here. 4th. Talk to God. He says in Psalm 91 In your time of trouble you will call on me and I will answer. God wants a relationship with you. He’s not far off, because you have Jesus now. He’s closer than the heart in your chest.
